Vantage Learning To Strengthen Student Writing with MY Access! and Write Across America

February 26, 2014

YARDLEY, PA (February 26, 2014) Last year, education leader Vantage Learning, launched Write Across America, an initiative designed to improve student writing throughout the US. Utilizing the company's award-winning MY Access! writing tool, students across the country saw their writing scores increase by more than 18% after just three uses. Now, Write Across America is back as Vantage offers MY Access! to schools for the rest of the school year for only $1 per student. It’s an offer the company thinks concerned schools and parents won’t be able to resist.

Through the use of artificial intelligence paired with patented linguistics technologies, MY Access! enables students write to prompts their instructors select or create. After submitting their essays, the program then gives the student a score and feedback from improvement. That’s when the fun starts as students become engaged in how they can improve their writing and increase their scores. On the flip side, because MY Access! scores the technical aspects of student essays, teachers can save hours per week grading papers.

"While MY Access! is not a game, it does become game-like because we see students editing their essays in order to improve their scores," reports Elena Cupingood, MY Access! Product Manager, "Students like the immediacy of the response and that they can keep improving to get better grades. Students and teachers love it!"
