We received a tremendous response to the contest, collecting thousands of essays from students across the country. The volume of responses is an encouraging sign that students throughout the United States are willing to share their voices.

Also encouraging is that the quality of the essays we received demonstrates that when students write about something that interests them, they can write effectively and clearly communicate their ideas while having fun doing it!
