Vantage Fusion™ (vFusion)

Vantage Fusion™ (vFusion) is a robust, full-featured school intelligence system setting a new standard for school and district information management. Everything educators and administrators need to manage information can be accessed, reported upon, and managed through a single interface. vFusion™ can store, manage, and report on all data relating to students, parents, facilities, teachers, vendors, transportation, counseling, health/nursing, library information, HR/finance, fee management, and district-wide learning management. Its modularity enables customers to choose a base system plus any additional optional modules as needed, allowing users to migrate cost-effectively and over time. Scalable to accommodate the needs of all K–12 enterprises, from single charter schools to the largest districts in the country, vFusion™ conforms to the most commonly implemented interoperability standards used in K–12 school districts today.

Core Components

School/District Data Management

  • Manage district and school hierarchy levels
  • View and manage school type, focus list, contact info, grade levels, and operational status of your schools
  • View and edit physical locations and facilities in the school (standard classrooms, gym, cafeteria, etc.)
  • Assign staff to various locations

Student/Parent/Staff Data Management

  • View and manage student/parent personal information including demographics, pictures, contacts, schedules, grades, and more
  • Manage school enrollment of students
  • Easily transfer students from one school to another
  • Manage personal information relating to a staff member, teacher, or a member of support services in the school or district

Authorization

  • Edit user-based access control settings for individual users and vFusion™ modules
  • Edit role-based access control settings for various user profiles and vFusion™ modules

  • Single Sign On (SSO) capability to access other Vantage applications directly from vFusion™

School Calendar and Term

  • Calendar—Edit calendar summary and calendar dates including teacher in-service days, holidays, period start-end times, etc.
  • Term—Create, view, and edit term information including time span, scheduling, marking, and attendance criteria

Course/Section Management

  • Courses—Create and view courses, manage course information
  • Sections—Create and view sections, manage section information
  • Enroll students in various sections

Discipline

  • View, manage, and edit behavior incidents. Include incident type, date, location, related people, offenders, victims, and details of course of action taken by authorities

Scheduling

  • Automated scheduler plans students, staff, and facilities based on parameters and restrictions set by customers

Gradebook

  • Enter assignments, grades, and notes via gradebook and/or teacher portal. This state-of-the-art fully Web-based gradebook application gives you the ease, comfort, and usability of a desktop application

Attendance

  • Daily Attendance—Edit attendance information for a particular student in your school on a particular date
  • Period Attendance—Enter attendance information by class period for a student in the context of a section

Communication

  • Send new screen messages, e-mails, and SMS; view, list, and filter your outbox; send messages to individuals or groups with one click
  • Inbox—View, list, and filter your messages
  • Agenda—Organize your personal agenda, share your agenda with others, view important dates and events

Teacher Portal

  • All teacher modules and information including gradebook, attendance, messaging, schedule, and agenda in one concise and customizable dashboard interface

Student/Parent Portal

  • All student/parent modules and information including sections, grades, attendance, messages, announcements, and agenda in one concise and customizable dashboard interface
  • Parents with more than one child in a district can reach all information with a single login
