Professional Services :: MY Access!® Training

Where school district implementation of the MY Access!® web-based writing instructional tool has resulted in achievement of stated goals, district/school administrators and faculty have prepared for MY Access! use by completing structured, focused professional training programs prior to, or in conjunction with, the initial training of teachers who will be using the program.

MY Access!® is an award-winning, web-delivered instructional tool that diagnoses and assesses the writing ability of students in grades 4-12 and at the college level. With MY Access!, students are motivated to write more and attain higher scores on writing assessments. The program's powerful scoring engine grades students' essays instantly and provides targeted feedback, freeing teachers from grading thousands of papers by hand and giving them more time to conduct differentiated instruction and curriculum planning.

By participating in workshops delivered by certified Vantage Learning trainers at the client's location, MY Access! users will develop the competencies needed to utilize all of the many features contained within this robust software application.

Regional Programs

MY Access! Academy workshops accommodate a smaller number of educators to ensure student achievement through successful implementation and classroom use of MY Access!. By participating in MY Access! Academy workshops, educators can attend individual or multiple workshops conducted on weekdays and Saturdays at conveniently located regional sites. The convenient scheduling and the opportunity to collaborate with other schools/districts offer positive learning opportunities for all participants.

Virtual Programs

Recognizing that many clients prefer to conduct a small-scale pilot before adopting a new educational tool, Vantage Learning has created the Score 6! Virtual Training package for MY Access!® to ensure that schools/districts can simultaneously evaluate the efficacy of MY Access! while getting the most out of their trial use of the program. This package consists of two 2-hour training sessions that are conducted by a certified Vantage trainer via the Internet. Due to the training format, a maximum of five (5) participants can attend a Virtual Training session.
