Newtown, PA, May 9, 2005 - Vantage Learning (www.VantageLearning.com), the world's leading provider of online essay scoring technologies, today announced that it expects to deliver more than 22 million tests during the 2005 calendar year. These projections exceed 2004's volume by nearly 25%. This achievement places Vantage Learning among the top test delivery organizations in the world, surpassing many traditional test providers.Vantage Learning delivers high-stakes tests and instructional assessments to students in all 50 states, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. The company attributes the rise in volume to growth in K-12, higher education, teacher certification and public safety testing. Volumes include both online and paper tests, although growth in the online arena has outpaced traditional paper-and-pencil testing.
Vantage delivers assessment services directly to states, municipalities, school districts, and individual schools. Projections for the calendar year are based upon a 30% overall increase throughout April, the seasonality of testing across the existing customer base, and expected patterns of testing behavior for new and existing clients.
