Robert Patrylak Named New President of Vantage Learning

Newtown, Pa., January 21, 2008 - Vantage Learning (www.vantagelearning.com), the world's leading provider online assessment, automated essay scoring, and teaching and learning tools, today announced that Robert Patrylak has been named President of Vantage Learning, effective immediately.

Bob has strong business experience, a proven track record, and the capability to lead our growing K-12 business. Prior to becoming Corporate General Counsel at Vantage Mr. Patrylak was Chief Legal Counsel and General Securities Principal of The National Advisory Group, Inc., a financial services holding company, from 1996 to 2001. During that same period, Mr. Patrylak also managed an independent law practice wherein he was recognized by his peers as one of the most knowledgeable and practiced state and local tax attorneys in Pennsylvania, providing clients with sound trial and appellate advocacy experience and representation in matters of municipal, business and individual taxation.

Mr. Patrylak received a Bachelor's of Business Administration (B.B.A) degree from Temple University in 1985. He attended Temple University Law School receiving a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in 1991. Following law school, Bob was appointed by the Hon. Edward G. Rendell, then Mayor of the City of Philadelphia, now Governor of Pennsylvania, as an Assistant City Solicitor, where he focused on matters of state and local trial and appellate advocacy.
