Middle School Gets $30,000 Grant

DELTONA — Galaxy Middle School received a $30,480 grant this week that will be used for an online program to improve students’ writing skills.
The grant comes from Vantage Learning Keystone Partner Program as part of more than $650,000 in grants, endowments and subsidies to school districts throughout the country.
The money will be used to install MY Access!, an online program produced by the Vantage Learning Education Initiative that allows students to write essays and receive immediate feedback on their quality. The program also allows teachers to monitor student performance so instruction can be tailored to students’ needs.
