"MY Access!® has been a great instructional tool that my students love to use. They have enjoyed watching their bars on their graphs grow, as they go through their writing and revise and edit. It has taught them a new appreciation that just because a draft is completed, it may not be done and ready to publish."

VLP :: Test Delivery Options
Flexible Designs to Meet Your Needs
Internet Delivery
Online assessments are fast and easy to administer, are less costly, and produce instant data.- Instructional tools create a "one-to-one" learning environment which provides immediate feedback and instructional content for students of all ages.
- Comprehensive reports are available at the click of a mouse to provide educators, administrators and parents up-to-date information on student, school and district achievement.
- No plug-ins or downloaded applets are necessary for any Vantage applications.
Blended Approach
For school infrastructures with limited capability, Vantage Learning offers a blended combination of online and paper and pencil assessments. Bridging the gap between paper and pencil and technology, VanScan®, Vantage Learning's proprietary scanning software:- Allows for fast and accurate import of data from bubble sheets into an online scoring system
- Provides immediate access to test results for paper-and-pencil assessments
- Allows for migration of test delivery over time as districts continue to develop their technology infrastructure.
Computer Adaptive Testing
With Computer Adaptive Testing (CAT), students are given questions based on ability. As students progress through tests, the computer picks the most appropriate questions. Instead of a predefined set of questions, CAT creates individual tests for each student, on the fly, based on the student ability level and a set of parameters. CAT starts with a mid-level difficulty item and, based on a correct or incorrect response, the engine searches its bank of items to find the next best fit for that particular student.By delivering below grade level items to students struggling with on-level questions and giving above grade level items to students demonstrating mastery, CAT indicates student weaknesses at or below grade level. This information may be deemed critical in developing an appropriate instructional plan; one that first concentrates on core concepts below grade level prior to advancing with the grade level lesson plans and curriculum.
Linear Tests
With linear, or traditional, tests, students are given questions based on pre-defined parameters, such as grade level, subject and/or standard. In most linear tests, all students take the same test containing the same questions, although in some cases "parallel" tests are given. In "parallel" tests, some students take one form of the test, while others take a different form. Most often, the only difference between the two forms is the order of the test questions; the order of the questions can be random or pre-determined.By delivering the same set of questions to all students, linear tests measure whether students have gained mastery over the test content, or if further instruction on the subject matter is required.
